When I talk about mob movies, I always say that Donnie Brasco is not the best mob movie, but it’s by far my favorite.
When it comes to Halloween movies, Halloween the original movie is by far the best. A fever dream of slash, one after another. Pure terror splashed onto the screen.
But it’s not my favorite. In fact, I have two favorites. They are more re-watchable, more fun and still retain a thread of the original.

Halloween Resurrection
Halloween Resurrection is not a good movie. But it’s a fun movie. Not all horror needs to give you nightmares. In fact, I prefer my horror to be more like a roller coaster ride. Just enough adrenaline to make you jump in the moment, but not enough to leave any lingering scars.
And H2O is also fun. It builds up the dread nicely and has a well thought out ending. Resurrection probably ruins that, which adds even more to it’s own charm.
