We finished Carrie.
My wife and myself liked it mostly.
We both had the same reaction to the ending, we were surprised the majority of the emphasis was not on the thing we thought it would be on.
The ending is definitely left wide open for a follow-up. There are rumors that this is leading up to the Dark Tower series. One day I will read all of those, I have read The Gunslinger a long time ago and loved it, but obviously he was just getting started.
I was a little anxious watching the ending because I was afraid that it might veer too close to the some things that will happen in the Don’t Get Dead trilogy. Thankfully, I don’t think it will.
We are watching Crystal Lake now. Mixed reactions. I don’t know how I feel seeing Jason as a lumpy headed little kid. Some mysteries are better left unknown. And the same complaint of the Rob Zombie Halloween movies, it’s scary not knowing there is a reason for the horror. It’s scary when it’s just random and chaotic.
But we’ll give it time and see it through.
