The Story of Bob Lazar

It was a rainy morning and I was on a ride with my dog Sky and a fresh cup of coffee from the deli a few towns over.

It was our tradition to take a ride, listen to music or podcasts and drive through the swamps and backroads every Saturday morning.

In a way, it’s the same thing we’re doing in OctoberWorld. Just some back road driving with a cup of coffee in hand.

Someone at work told me I had to listen to an interview Bob Lazar about UFOs.

For about an hour, driving through the swamps and woods of New Jersey with my faithful Sky, her nose pressed against the window, we listened to tales of recovered alien ships, reverse engineered technology and even how a ship was found during an archaeological dig.

Don’t quote me on any of these, it was awhile ago, but these are the things I remember.

It was more of a conversation than an interview to be honest. That is what made most of what he said go down so easily. There were no tough questions, just incredulity.

I drove home thinking, man there must be something to this.

For an hour, I was a believer.

If I stopped there, I might be the type to say “I don’t know for sure, but there has to be something to those stories.”

Because man, you have to be some kind of sociopath to just lie to people’s faces. Easier to lie one on one, but to millions of people for decades.

Hard to believe?

Well, no. Not as hard to believe as the lies he told.

I won’t go into them here. But a little bit of research goes a long way.

The first hint of deception I got was based on his story that the government erased all his records of education and work. Like he didn’t exist.

Wow you think, he must really have the goods. Especially the way he tells it, in a down-to-earth kind of way.

But when you really think about it, you realize that doesn’t make any sense. He’s on a podcast with millions of viewers. So the government did a shit job stopping him?

Also why not just kill him or put him in jail?

But even those were not as good as the big Ah Ha moment I had – if you made up a story about earning degrees at MIT and Caltech, you could probably get away with it in the 80’s. The ability to fact check would be limited and difficult.

Fast forward to today. Where records are online and easily accessed. How do you cover up for your lies and lack of records?

Well, you say the government “erased” them. Because you have no other choice. The records don’t exist so you gotta say something.

There is more. A lot more that doesn’t add up.

But what I find so fascinating is it’s the same story as Bigfoot and The Loch Ness Monster. It is so interesting that one little lie can spawn entire cottage industry of UFO-ologists. There are Bigfoot and Loch Ness experts.

Imagine devoting your entire life to studying a fiction as if it were real.

That seems like a god-awful way to spend your limited time on earth.

That’s why I curate my time and energy so carefully. And why I am so careful about what kind of information I consume.

Yes, I do read about aliens and monsters and creatures – mostly because I love the stories. I love how powerful they can be.

In a lot of ways, I’m working on how to take that energy and power from those stories to make life better. Imagine if you could direct that energy, that power of story, all towards making your life better and the world better.

The machine of belief that powers those stories and makes them “real” is the same machine that can make your life better in ways that feel almost magical.

So while I love these stories, I think it’s important to use right thinking. Otherwise it leads to a slippery slope of sloppy thinking. Check out my Reality Mapping concept for more simple guidance on how to stay on track with reality.

In the meantime, here is an amazing article by my pal Ben Harris about the Alien Circus happening right now. Apparently this happens every 10-15 years. Yes, if you believe in aliens or UAPs or The Age of Disclosure, it may burst your bubble. That’s OK.

Once you wake up, you can still enjoy the stories for what they are. Humans making up stories to explain things they can’t.

Or the other age-old story – humans trying to deceive other humans. I do it for a living when I perform, but humans have been flocking other humans since Day 1.

Here is the article – https://www.skeptic.org.uk/2024/05/ufos-the-unidentified-flying-circus-comes-to-town/

NOTE: It was written more than 2 years ago but eerily predicted the fever pitch of what’s happening now. And when you’re done with that, read the interlinked article about Roswell. It’s hard to believe so much has been made about so little and based on another huckster’s need to make money, when he ran out of Bermuda Triangle money. You can’t make this up (but you can make up UFO stories).
